Retired professor here, forty years teaching at Brown University (Slavic Languages, then Medieval Studies, then history of Magic, and of magical and earth religions).
I’ve been telling bright-eyed undergraduate students the same thing for about fifteen years now. Very few listened.
If anything, this video understates the reality — or so it seems to me.
