{"id":8593,"date":"2017-05-24T21:06:21","date_gmt":"2017-05-25T03:06:21","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.chasclifton.com\/?p=8593"},"modified":"2017-05-24T21:08:47","modified_gmt":"2017-05-25T03:08:47","slug":"heartland-festival-presentations-take-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.chasclifton.com\/?p=8593","title":{"rendered":"Heartland Festival Presentations, Take 2"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/Ym1gTWtu8Is\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Once again, I am packed, ready, and excited to be going to the <a href=\"http:\/\/kchsa.com\/\">Heartland Pagan Festival.<\/a>\u00a0 With any luck, that will be me stepping off the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.amtrak.com\/southwest-chief-train\">Southwest Chief <\/a>in Lawrence, Kansas, on Friday morning. (Usually I snooze through Lawrence when traveling east and wake up for the long stop in Kansas City.)<\/p>\n<p>This was all supposed to happen last year, <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.chasclifton.com\/?p=8053\">and as I wrote then, the weather turned against me.<\/a> I still feel sort of ashamed about aborting the trip \u2014 I could have maybe done one of my two presentations.<\/p>\n<p>These are a &#8220;work in progress&#8221; discussion of the flying ointment project and the provocatively named &#8220;Nature Religion: You&#8217;re Doing It Wrong,&#8221; which is partly material from <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/0759102023\/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&amp;camp=1789&amp;creative=9325&amp;creativeASIN=0759102023&amp;linkCode=as2&amp;tag=soutrocknatub-20&amp;linkId=ad40e47c0b988e91546fa9cf0caa3e03\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Her Hidden Children: The Rise of Wicca And Paganism in America<\/a><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"imlkpkfuizsnvptzqqvt\" style=\"border: none !important; margin: 0px !important;\" src=\"\/\/ir-na.amazon-adsystem.com\/e\/ir?t=soutrocknatub-20&amp;l=am2&amp;o=1&amp;a=0759102023\" alt=\"\" width=\"1\" height=\"1\" border=\"0\" \/><\/em> and partly some new stuff.<\/p>\n<p>To me, this is more stressful than presenting at an academic conference, which shows what a recluse I have become. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Once again, I am packed, ready, and excited to be going to the Heartland Pagan Festival.\u00a0 With any luck, that will be me stepping off the Southwest Chief in Lawrence, Kansas, on Friday morning.
