{"id":723,"date":"2006-09-23T14:57:00","date_gmt":"2006-09-23T14:57:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.chasclifton.com\/?p=723"},"modified":"2006-09-23T14:57:00","modified_gmt":"2006-09-23T14:57:00","slug":"a-temple-tour-of-california","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.chasclifton.com\/?p=723","title":{"rendered":"A temple tour of California"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I have been reading Erik Davis&#8217;s fantastic (in all senses of the world) book <a href=\"http:\/\/www.visionarystate.com\"><em>The Visionary State: A Journey Through California&#8217;s Spiritual Landscape<\/em><\/a>, illustrated with lucious photos by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.michaelrauner.com\/\">Michael Rauner<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>You can read <a href=\"http:\/\/www.techgnosis.com\/chunks.php?cat=tribes&#038;sec=articles&#038;file=chunkfrom-2006-09-21-1936-0.txt\">an excerpt on Davis&#8217;s Web site<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>I know just few of the Bay Area places, such as the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sfzc.org\">San Francisco Zen Center<\/a> (didn&#8217;t know it was a <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Julia_Morgan\">Julia Morgan<\/a> building though) or the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sfswedenborgian.org\/tour\/4interior\/index.html\">Swedenborgian Church<\/a>.
