{"id":717,"date":"2006-09-11T23:48:00","date_gmt":"2006-09-11T23:48:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.chasclifton.com\/?p=717"},"modified":"2006-09-11T23:48:00","modified_gmt":"2006-09-11T23:48:00","slug":"drumming-for-peas","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.chasclifton.com\/?p=717","title":{"rendered":"Drumming for peas"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Under the Federal Blogging Act of 2004, often referred to for short as the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.instapundit.com\">Reynolds<\/a>&#8211;<a href=\"http:\/\/time.blogs.com\/daily_dish\/\">Sullivan<\/a> Act, all bloggers are required to post something about 9\/11\/2001.<\/p>\n<p>So here is my post.<\/p>\n<p>Maybe if we had more <a href=\"http:\/\/seattlepi.nwsource.com\/local\/284465_911events09.html\">drumming groups for peas<\/a>, then the more totally whacked-out followers of the Prophet Mohammed (peas be upon him) would not want to kill us all, and our <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ynetnews.com\/articles\/0,7340,L-3301505,00.html\">little dogs too<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Yeah, right.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking magically, I think that rituals &#8220;for peace,&#8221; just like rituals to &#8220;heal the earth,&#8221; are doomed to failure, because humans cannot visualize just what &#8220;peace&#8221; means. Absence of war? Everyone thinks like me?
