When the board said that &#8220;religious groups&#8221; could distribute &#8220;scripture&#8221; in the school&#8217;s, Llewellyn&#8217;s publicist decided that the works of Silver Ravenwolf would qualify as well.<\/p>\n<p>Jason Pitzl-Waters <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wildhunt.org\/2006\/04\/interview-with-steven-m-pomije-as.html\">has the details<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The whole issue reminds me of the plot line of <em>Heathens Idolize School Prayer<\/em>, one of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.chick.com\">Chick<\/a>-style pamphlets <a href=\"http:\/\/www.aquatabch.org\/afwe\/antitracts.php\">distributed by the Aquarian Tabernacle Church<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s been almost a decade since I was <a href=\"http:\/\/www.chasclifton.com\/books\/series.html\">working with Llewellyn<\/a>, and everyone whom I knew there has since moved on, except the Weschckes, who own the company. <a href=\"http:\/\/acrossthetable.blogspot.com\/\">Carl Weschcke<\/a> has always taken a slightly messianic view of his business, which is not a bad thing for a publisher to do. But he does so while looking at the bottom line.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The move was definitely more of an educational motive than a political motive,&#8221; says the publicist.
