The building used to be a mortuary with columns out front (where the limos used to pull up) that lent themselves to an Egyptian-inspired paint scheme.<\/p>\n<p>The store started in Denver on East Colfax Avenue, not far from <a href=\"http:\/\/wildernessvagabonds.com\/zp\/index.php?album=2009\/december-16&amp;image=CIMG6975.JPG\">Hubcap Annie&#8217;s<\/a>, the used hubcap store, which gives you a sense of the neighborhood.<\/p>\n<p>If I remember correctly (always debatable), the first owner wasn&#8217;t making a go of it, and her landlord, this Jewish guy with no interest in Paganism, etc., took over.
