For one thing, poly activists are seen as undermining the fight for same-sex marriage. The UUA has officially supported same-sex marriage, the spokeswoman says, \u201csince 1979, with tons of resolutions from the general assembly.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>\u2022 <a href=\"http:\/\/sarenth.wordpress.com\/2013\/03\/21\/connecting-with-christian-ancestors\/\">How do you honor your Christian ancestors?<\/a><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>When They first began contacting me, it was a cacophony of voices, questions like \u201cWhy did you stop going to church? \u00a0Do you not like Fr. ___ anymore?\u201d and \u201cYou can still pray with us, yes? (or ja?, dependent on the Ancestor)?\u201d and many others. \u00a0Their Catholic identity was so strong and intrinsic to Their Being that They carried it over with some part of Them into Death. \u00a0If Their Catholicism is as deep, powerful, and purposeful a presence in Their life as Paganism is in mine, that it lasts well after They have crossed over, who am I to argue with Their spirits?<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>\u2022 While we are reclaiming formerly pejorative terms, <a href=\"http:\/\/kallisti.writingkaye.com\/2013\/03\/reclaiming-apostasy.html\">why not reclaim &#8220;apostate?&#8221;<\/a><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>The word\u00a0<i>apostate<\/i>\u00a0is one such boundary. It is a word that requires confidence and defiance. People demand things when they hear it. It opens conversations and breaks down walls.
