(A snippet of the<a href=\"http:\/\/www.historytoday.com\/sean-mcglynn\/real-robin-hood\"> longer article from <em>History Today<\/em><\/a>)<\/p>\n<p>That puts him fighting <em>for<\/em> &#8220;bad King John&#8221; (a minus) but <em>against<\/em> the French (always a plus for an English folk hero).<\/p>\n<p>Whoever he was, check out <a href=\"http:\/\/www.imdb.com\/find?q=Robin&amp;s=tt&amp;ref_=fn_al_tt_mr\">his filmography<\/a>.
