{"id":480,"date":"2005-08-05T00:59:00","date_gmt":"2005-08-05T00:59:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.chasclifton.com\/?p=480"},"modified":"2005-08-05T00:59:00","modified_gmt":"2005-08-05T00:59:00","slug":"480","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.chasclifton.com\/?p=480","title":{"rendered":""},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Banned at Borders?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>I was trying to track down a report that <em>The Love Spell: An Erotic Memoir of Spiritual Awakening<\/em>, by high-profile Wiccan <a href=\"http:\/\/www.beliefnet.com\/story\/27\/story_2794_1.html\">lawyer<\/a> and priestess  <a href=\"http:\/\/www.phylliscurott.com\/\">Phyllis Curott<\/a>, had been yanked from bookstores after pressure from social-conservative Christians such as <a href=\"http:\/\/www.traditionalvalues.org\/\">these<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>I cannot find anything so far to substantiate that rumor.<\/p>\n<p>What is probably worse, in her social sphere, is getting the <a href=\"http:\/\/nytimesweddings.blogspot.com\/2005\/01\/witchy-woman.html\">snarky treatment from Veiled Conceit<\/a>, a blog devoted to sarcastic deconstruction of <em>New York Times<\/em> wedding announcements.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Banned at Borders?
