He originally <a href=\"  http:\/\/www.koozai.com\/blog\/search-marketing\/are-ebooks-the-new-content-farms-2901\/\" target=\"_blank\">wrote about his discovery<\/a> on the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.impactmedia.co.uk\/blog\/\" target=\"_blank\">Impact Media blog<\/a>.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Amazon does not care.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Many ebook vendors don\u2019t check copyright on works that are submitted,  and Essex noticed that people are stealing content from the web, quickly  creating ebooks about the same topics from multiple angles in order to  target different keyword variants, and publishing them\u2014some Kindle  authors have \u201cwritten\u201d thousands of books in a single year. The <strong>Amazon.com<\/strong> domain name gives these books an added boost in search results; royalty  payouts are high even when a book is priced at $0.99, and reviews  aren\u2019t a surefire solution to combating the problem.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/nielsenhayden.com\/makinglight\/archives\/012933.html#012933\">More information at <em>Making Light<\/em>.<\/a><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Bad writers, yes.  One man\u2019s trash is another man\u2019s pit of voles.   But one of the advantages of e-book\/Kindle store\/et al that we keep  hearing from the <a href=\"http:\/\/whatever.scalzi.com\/2011\/03\/20\/the-electronic-publishing-bingo-card\/\">e-book enthusiasts<\/a> is that it bypasses the gatekeepers.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cStolen content and scammers\u201d is another area, and there isn\u2019t  any pressure on Amazon to stop \u2018em, since they get their cut regardless.   Adding acquiring editors would add time and expense, and keep the  struggling geniuses whose works no one understand from ever getting  published at all.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Ain&#8217;t it wonderful?
