{"id":201,"date":"2004-06-05T21:51:00","date_gmt":"2004-06-05T21:51:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.chasclifton.com\/?p=201"},"modified":"2004-06-05T21:51:00","modified_gmt":"2004-06-05T21:51:00","slug":"201","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.chasclifton.com\/?p=201","title":{"rendered":""},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>War is not just between soldiers<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Sometimes I play computer games. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.poptop.com\/TropicoInfo.htm\"><em>Tropico<\/em><\/a>, also known as &#8220;SimCuba,&#8221; was a favorite, as were <a href=\"http:\/\/www.atomic.com\/\">Atomic Games&#8217;<\/a> <em>Operation Crusader<\/em> and <em>Stalingrad<\/em>. I played every variation on the latter, until I was convinced that I could have won the <a href=\"http:\/\/users.ju.edu\/jclarke\/hy350italyattack.htm\">Battle of the Don<\/a> <em>and<\/em> saved most of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.worldwar2.ro\/operatii\/?article=9&#038;language=en\">Romanian forces<\/a> too. (Just take Gen. Von Manstein&#8217;s advice: stage a &#8220;communications breakdown&#8221; with Berlin and then evacuate Stalingrad, no matter what Der Fueher says.)<\/p>\n<p>But I digress.
