{"id":163,"date":"2004-04-15T01:50:00","date_gmt":"2004-04-15T01:50:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.chasclifton.com\/?p=163"},"modified":"2011-08-22T12:14:19","modified_gmt":"2011-08-22T18:14:19","slug":"163","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.chasclifton.com\/?p=163","title":{"rendered":""},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Pagan Studies marches on<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.altamirapress.com\/Catalog\/MultiBook.shtml?command=Search&amp;db=^DB\/catalog.db&amp;startat=1&amp;max=12&amp;wsRELATED_SERIESdata=Pagan+Studies+Series&amp;RELATED_SERIESword=ww&amp;YEAR_MOsort=1&amp;YEAR_MOtype=num&amp;YEAR_MOsdir=de&amp;AllReqd=T\">book series on Pagan Studies<\/a> that I co-edit with <a href=\"http:\/\/www.csulb.edu\/~wgriffin\/\">Wendy Griffin <\/a>has now grown to four titles. If all goes well&#8211;if <a href=\"http:\/\/www.altamirapress.com\">the publisher <\/a>accepts my ms.&#8211;then two books should be ready in time for the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.aarweb.org\/\">American Academy of Religion<\/a>&#8211;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.sbl-site.org\/\">Society of Biblical Literature<\/a> annual meeting in November.<\/p>\n<p>First would be <em>Researching Paganisms: Religious Experiences and Academic Methodologies<\/em>, an anthology edited by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.shu.ac.uk\/schools\/ssl\/teaching\/jb\/\">Jenny Blain<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/fcms.its.utas.edu.au\/arts\/sociology\/pagedetails.asp?lpersonId=1881\">Doug Ezzy<\/a>, and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.open.ac.uk\/Arts\/relstud\/text\/harvey.htm\">Graham Harvey<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p> I will have a piece in it called &#8220;Drugs, Books, and Witches,&#8221; which the editors have put in the section, &#8220;Challenging objectivity, theorising subjectivity.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Second, as I blogged on 12 April, would be my book, <em>Her Hidden Children<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, Wendy is working on a book called <em>Goddessing: Contemporary Women and Ritual Magic<\/em>, while Barbara Jean Davy is preparing the first undergraduate textbook on Pagan Studies.<\/p>\n<p>I can&#8217;t wait to see the book display.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Pagan Studies marches on The book series on Pagan Studies that I co-edit with Wendy Griffin has now grown to four titles.
