I had two collecting rules: I wanted the ones that were openly anti-witch, anti-metaphysical or anti-occult, and second, I had to find them in the wild. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.chick.com\/information\/article?id=one-billion-chick-tracts\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Sending away for them<\/a> would not count; I had to them tucked inside a library book on witch trials or something like that.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Amazingly, there is a collection <a href=\"https:\/\/archives.yale.edu\/repositories\/4\/resources\/5561\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">in the library at Yale University.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery has-nested-images columns-default is-cropped wp-block-gallery-2 is-layout-flex wp-block-gallery-is-layout-flex\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"468\" height=\"240\" data-id=\"14044\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/blog.chasclifton.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/Cvjkce7WAAEZBHU.jpg?resize=468%2C240&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-14044\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/blog.chasclifton.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/Cvjkce7WAAEZBHU.jpg?w=468&amp;ssl=1 468w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/blog.chasclifton.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/Cvjkce7WAAEZBHU.jpg?resize=300%2C154&amp;ssl=1 300w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/blog.chasclifton.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/Cvjkce7WAAEZBHU.jpg?resize=150%2C77&amp;ssl=1 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 468px) 100vw, 468px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">So who was Jack Chick, and why did he do it? He died in 2016, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.christianitytoday.com\/2016\/10\/died-jack-chick-cartoonist-controversial-gospel-tracts\/\">here is the write-up he got in <em>Christianity Today<\/em>: <\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The biggest name in tract evangelism, Chick distributed more than 500 million pamphlets, nicknamed \u201cchicklets,\u201d over five decades.
