{"id":1323,"date":"2010-03-05T19:53:00","date_gmt":"2010-03-05T19:53:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.chasclifton.com\/?p=1323"},"modified":"2010-03-05T19:53:00","modified_gmt":"2010-03-05T19:53:00","slug":"the-city-dionysia-in-colorado-springs","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.chasclifton.com\/?p=1323","title":{"rendered":"The City Dionysia in Colorado Springs."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&#8220;Just when you thought you knew what Colorado Springs was all about,&#8221; commented a poster on one of the Colorado Pagan email lists.<\/p>\n<p>It was the<a href=\"http:\/\/www.csindy.com\/colorado\/ecstasy-of-rage\/Content?oid=1640642\"> City Dionysia festival<\/a>, complete with a performance of Euripides&#8217; <i>The Bacchae<\/i>.<\/p>\n<p>There is, of course, a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.facebook.com\/citydionysia\">Facebook page<\/a>, where you can see some photos.<\/p>\n<p>I missed it by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.chasclifton.com\/2010\/03\/deep-snow-deep-winter.html\">going camping<\/a>, an homage to a different god.
