Photo: Martin Dalton\/Rex\/Shutterstock<\/p><\/div>\n<p><em>The Guardian<\/em> newspaper (UK) cherry-picks a few things from the 2021 England and Wales census, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/uk-news\/2022\/nov\/29\/ten-things-weve-learned-from-the-england-and-wales-census?\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">including a rise in the number of self-identified Pagans.<\/a><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<h2 id=\"2-pagans-and-wiccans-are-becoming-more-established\">2) Pagans and wiccans are becoming more established<\/h2>\n<p class=\"dcr-2v2zi4\">More established [than self-identified shamans] are pagans [<em>sic<\/em>]<em>  ,<\/em> who number 74,000 people (up from 57,000 in 2011) and who gather most in Ceredigion, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/uk-news\/cornwall\" data-component=\"auto-linked-tag\" data-link-name=\"in body link\">Cornwall<\/a> and Somerset, and wiccans [sic], who number 13,000.
