Quite simply, I think that most of what little wisdom I have about &#8220;nature,&#8221; the &#8220;wild,&#8221; and so on comes either from Snyder or from directions his work has given me. Read his poems, read <a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/158243638X\/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&amp;camp=1789&amp;creative=9325&amp;creativeASIN=158243638X&amp;linkCode=as2&amp;tag=soutrocknatub-20&amp;linkId=f6a9f0864cf210447ec21c8cc6dff6d8\"><em>The Practice of the Wild<\/em> <\/a>and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/B01FKSKUWY\/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&amp;camp=1789&amp;creative=9325&amp;creativeASIN=B01FKSKUWY&amp;linkCode=as2&amp;tag=soutrocknatub-20&amp;linkId=bc1f35f1aac8bf376b6aa514e97cf276\"><em>The O<\/em><em>ld<\/em> Ways,<\/a>((Buy it used.)) and you will have it.<\/p>\n<p>Gary Snyder\u00a0 . . . Beat poet, Zen Buddhist-animist, not a self-proclaimed Pagan but aware of Pagan sensibilities going back to the Old TIme.<\/p>\n<p>Here he reads the introduction that he wrote for <em>Pharmako\/Poeira<\/em> and then gives a short biography of Pendell.<\/p>\n<p>I would not be surprised if a lot of the people pushing &#8220;traditional witchcraft&#8221; poison-path stuff are not just lifting it from Pendell&#8217;s books.
