Going to buy puja supplies from an immigrant Hindu shopkeeper. Confusion ensues, but is resolved.
All in all, my aim was to develop and put to good use American Pagan techniques and rituals that serve well in working with Hindu Deities and figures. Not to replicate pujas from Hindu worship. I understood that I was not an orthodox Hindu so much as an American visitor. So my shopping at these sorts of stores involved finding items and supplies that suited me rather than those that suited Hinduism. I made different sorts of goofs that left my face red…
