  1. As long as I am living in NE Illinois, I read Something Wicked every year in October, and this year was no exception.

    And I am pleased to say all the trick-or-treating parents I saw this year were on foot, and I saw a lot of them.

    If the idea of trick or treating is to get more candy, then mobility via automobile expands the potential range and thereby the potential bag of goodies.

    Customs do change. We do all sorts of things with the aid of–or within–automobiles these days.

    It must be different in the Midwest. Hardly anybody trick or treats house to house in my little part of the West. Candy comes by different distribution channels, I guess.
