No, It Wasn’t the Provocative Women

It was Icelandic Pagans who caused the volcano to erupt, say Russian Orthodox clerics, countering the Shiite Islamic cleric who blamed women for inciting the lust of hapless men and thus, somehow, earthquakes.

They noted that Iceland “has recently become a center of European neo-paganism of Aryan occult kind, which has Nazi character” as Iceland has headquartered the Association of European Ethnic Religions that has recently worked out a draft of merger between the World Pagan Assembly and International Pagan Alliance.

UPDATE: Monday the 26th is the Boobquake protest.

  1. Supposing for a moment that the Orthodox clerics are right and it was the Icelanders’ rejection of Christianity that caused the volcano to blow, then that’s even more reason to adopt Paganism. Because that thick cloud of ash that grounded flights and closed the airports over a large part of Europe …

… left the Icelandic airways completely unaffected. Maybe if other European nations honored their ancestral gods so dutifully they wouldn’t have had the problem they did.

The theodicy game can be played either way.

  2. Why are some religious people – adults – so utterly childlike in their “reasoning” of why natural disasters occur? I don’t even think childlike is an accurate description, children wouldn’t come to such stupid conclusions. I think the terms is utterly psycho.

I’m thinking that the deities are cluelessly and so way behing the curve.

All they need to tell us stuff–important messages about how come volcanoes are erupting and the financial realm is a theives’ guild and like that is–smartphones, textings, twitter accounts, facebook pages, a few appearances on Oprah and/or The View, paparrazzi shots, gossip mags, and a little freakin’ DRAMA in their affairs while drunk, stoned, or goaded to lusty excess.

We humans are paying attention to this stuff 24/7! Deities, smarten up! Get with the tech of the times! Post some sexy cam-deity pics on Flick! Let us know the TRUTH about your addictions and rehabs on Dr. Drew! Talk to us in plain direct-from-your-deity LOLSpeak!
